“ Always a great experience at El Toro! Lovely staff and great atmosphere! The food is always correct and tastes and looks great! ”
“ 4.5 stars I thought it was pretty good. I came during lunch hours on a weekend and it wasn't busy at all. We got seated right away. They took our drink orders and brought us out some salsa and chips. I'm real big on salsa so they got me right when I tried their salsa. The salsa was very flavorful. On top of that, they had a salsa bar you can just walk up to so you can grab more hot sauces if you'd like to add to your salsa. I came when they had their birria ramen for their special. I saw it on the board when I walked in so we ordered it. The broth was very flavorful, and the meat was very soft and tender. The ramen they used was also very yummy. It came with some garnishes, radish, and chilli oil on the side. liked it a lot. I also tried their nachos. It usually comes with their cheese sauce, but I asked to replace it with shredded cheese. It was such a big portion that I couldn't even finish it. I feel like it's something that could feed two people. I asked for my beans on the side and that's exactly what they did. The nachos comes with both chicken and ground beef. The service here was amazing. The person that us and our server were both so nice. I will definitely be back to try some more of their other items. ”
“ Service was great and owner very personable. Loved the fajita nachos. They have authentic Jamica ”
“ We love the fajita. Generous amount of chicken onions and peppers. Delicious. Margaritas are good too. Good service too. ”
“ El Toro is the best Mexican restaurant I've ever had. The food is always fresh. The salsa bar is amazing, stocked with the best homemade sauces/salsas. Staff is friendly and the restaurant is clean. ”
“ Was with large group of 20. Had large room in back. Waitress was excellent taking care of everyone and every dish came out hot and fresh. Heard no complaints. Had pitchers of Margaritas and they were great. Manager came and checked on us frequently too and was very friendly and professional. Definitely not your 'average' Mexican Restaurant. ”
“ IN A WORLD... where Mexican places are on every corner, and all the menus look the same... El Toro stands out as authentic and vibrant. Easily one of the best Mexican restaurants in Rutherford County, and I've been to dang near all of them! Plenty of space, so it doesn't feel like a 'dive', but still has that cool vibe about it. Food is always fresh, and well presented. We love the 'street tacos', fajitas and taco salads here, but my favorite is the shrimp tacos.. holy moly! Service is always very friendly and attentive. We're regulars, and we love this place! Tip: get in early on Cinco de Mayo, as they are covered up! ”
“ We stopped here randomly for a Saturday lunch. They were moderately busy but got a table right away. They had the world cup soccer games on the tvs and many people were watching. Our server was FANTASTIC. Extremely attentive and quick. The chips and salsa are very good, lots of flavor! They also have a free salsa bar for other salsas. My husband had an Al pastor quesadilla and he said it was very flavorful and delicious. I got the ground beef tostadas. The ground beef was lacking some flavor and it was a little dry. The portions were great especially for the lower price. My husband said he would absolutely go back. I will go back and try a different meat. Overall, this place is worth a try! ”
“ I tried this place when it first opened a couple of years ago. It shut down during the pandemic, but I had heard that it reopened under new ownership. So, we decided to try it again. My husband and I went on a Saturday night around 5:30pm. The place was fairly full, but they didn't seem super busy. We were greeted and seated right away. Their chips are salsa are good! We cleared off 2 baskets of chips and 4 servings of salsa. Fair warning: their salsa has a KICK! So, if you can't eat spicy food - this is not the place for you. My husband ordered the Grilled Shrimp El Toro and I ordered the Chicken Chimichanga. We enjoyed both of our dishes. The service was good and overall it was a pleasant experience. ”
“ Came by here with my mom one day to grab a late lunch to go. They weren't super busy but had a decent crowd. The bar was pretty busy and looked like it would be a cool place to hang out with friends. Our meals were pretty good, but need to come back and dine in, in order to get the real experience ”
